My Facial Experience & Simply Organic Skincare Set Giveaway

For the most part, many women have had a facial of some sort…good, bad, or ugly! I myself have experienced quite a few facials dating back to my teenage years and into the present. None, and I repeat, none of these facials can compare to the facial I received with Pamela Bond Skin Fitness. I actually met Pamela at her retail pop-up shop Bluebird Apothecary, which is also an online store of the most amazing organic, natural, green, and cruelty free products (including her own line). The minute I met her I knew our connection was going to run deep! Pamela is one of the most knowledgeable and genuine people I have ever met in this industry. She is all about the connection between the mind, body, and spirit and how it all manifests in our skin. Our conversation ranged from hot baths to acne to body odor…by the end I was ready to make some serious changes…hello coconut milk!

We maintained a pretty stream of communication as we worked together to schedule a time for me to come in and start working on my skin. Mercury was in retrograde right before the holiday season so we waited until the new year, and I am so happy that we did. A new year, a new me right?!?! I actually connected with my friend, Paola from Coral Gables Love to head over to Pamela’s since her services are located in Coral Gables and I thought it would be a great way to get Bluebird Apothecary on the Coral Gables map! After some yummy watermelon hibiscus tea and some time to sit and chit chat on our common goals and upcoming collaboration, we were able to get started on my facial. I hate calling it just a facial because to be quite honest, it is so much more than that. It truly was an experience full of different sounds, scents, and most of all intention.

I use the word intention because everything that happens during this facial experience…every sound, every scent, every movement…is truly intentional. By the end of my facial I was so overcome with zen and relaxation that I actually became a little emotional. 2015 had been a very stressful year for me and my family and I had not really had the opportunity to simply take a step back until recently. I think that my facial experience brought to the surface a lot of the tension and worries I had percolating in my mind, while every intentional moment helped allow me to release them.

My facial ended with a very personal and in-depth analysis of the state of my skin and together we came up with a game plan to start getting it to a better place. That day I took with me my own skincare set from the Pamela Bond Simply Organic skincare line. Her recommendations for me were the Chamomile Flower Soothing Wash, the Honey Tea Soothing Serum, The Skin Brightening Lotion with Camu Camu, and the Cucumber Firming Eye Gel.
