If you are a pretty steady reader of my blog, you probably already know that I absolutely love sharing information and collaborating with other bloggers when I know my readers are going to love it!  That is exactly how I felt when I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and came across a post from Alejandro Cuadra on his blog, Strickly Bussiness!  Cruelty free fashion is not something I post very often about because, to be honest, it’s kind of hard to find a brand that so staunchly supports the environment and sustainable textiles, as well as, no animal products.  Green Tree Boutiques fits all of these to a tee!  GTB products are made from sustainably harvested cork and vegan leather…making their products 100% vegan as well!

Without further ado, please read all about Green Tree Boutiques on Alejandro’s post below!!!

Thanks to one of the events during Art Basel I was inspired to collaborate with a Boutique and talk about their uniqueness. I was awed on the quality of their bags that they had on displayed. I thought wow their taking green and fashion to another level.  Green Tree provides an exclusive sustainable and fashionable style that makes you feel good while using them to complete your look.
All Green Tree Boutiques products are made from natural cork with no impact to the environment. The cork fabric used to make their accessories comes from the Cork Oak tree native to Portugal. Cork forests are planted and cultivated to produce high quality material. Workers use specialized techniques to gather the raw materials use in their products without harming the Cork oak trees. Once the cork has been processed, each accessory is assembled by hand to ensure its uniqueness, quality and durability. No two are the same which makes it exclusive.

Green Tree Boutiques is committed to protecting the environment and decreasing the footprint that we as individuals have on our planet, as well as providing customers with the highest quality products.

Portugal supplies roughly 50% of the world’s cork production. The tree’s productive life begins only after 25 years upon reaching a girth of 70 cm. The bark of the cork oak tree that contains the cork is then peeled off of the tree. The bark re-generates itself within 9 years of each harvest. By peeling off the bark every nine years, the longevity of the cork tree extends to more than 200 years!
Green Tree even has wallets and backpacks, so it makes it unisex.  The fashion industry was fascinated by the charm of cork. Its natural beauty, its smooth satiny texture, and the versatility in applications made it a natural fit. Today you can find most anything made of cork.
