Welcome to October and Happy National Homemade Cookies Day! I love celebrating weird holidays don’t you??? When I saw the 1st of October celebrated homemade cookies I knew it would be fun to round up a few must-try vegan recipes to celebrate such a special day 🍪
It really isn’t difficult to make vegan cookies. There are so many dairy products on the market to substitute to what we lovingly refer to as “veganize” a recipe. If you happen across a recipe in your www travels, but it isn’t vegan, don’t give up! I bet with a little tweak here and there you can make that recipe into something any vegan could love💛 Keep reading to find some tried and true vegan cookie recipes, a few from local South Floridian vegans just like me!
So I’m going to start this super basic with a pumpkin spice cookie😉 I found this recipe on Pinterest and looking at the ingredients it looks absolutely delicious! Kim’s Cravings is not a completely vegan blog, but many recipes are vegan friendly, can be “veganized” and all are healthy and clean. These are something nice to make and rather than bringing on a platter, prepack them in cute cookie bags. A great way to bring something everyone will love this Fall season 🍂

This next recipe was recommended to me by a fellow South Florida vegan, Jac Blades. This Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe sounds like it has a really interesting complexity of flavor✨ I actually asked her if they had a sweet and savory thing going on, and she said that you definitely sense a depth of flavor, but you can never really pinpoint the existence of the tahini in the recipe.
She recommended this recipe from Hell Yeah It’s Vegan! I am definitely going to spend some time perusing some of the awesome recipes on this site😍
