Mask Monday | Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel

juice beauty green apple peel review
This week’s installment of Mask Monday is actually not a mask, it is a peel!  I love a good peel just as much as I love a good mask | I cannot envision myself going to a dermatologist for a professional peel…Those peels look so unnecessarily harsh on the skin.  Yes the final result is probably baby smooth skin, but just thought of having to go through the raw and painful in between is enough to point me in another direction.  I remember when my mom had a peel done.  We went out to dinner for my sister-in-law’s birthday; it wasn’t pretty!

My peel of choice is the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel.  This peel comes in three options: full strength, sensitive, and pregnancy.  I don’t have sensitive skin and I’m not pregnant, nursing, or trying to get pregnant so I opt for the full strength version, Kudos to Juice Beauty for really providing options for everyone looking to shed a few dead skin cells and show off some fresh new epidermis!

Alpha hydroxy acids are present due to the malic acid from the green apples, glycolic, and lactic acids.

Beta hydroxy acid is present due to the salicylic acid from willow bark.

The directions for the peel are pretty simple: apply an even layer on the face & neck and allow to work its magic for 10 minutes.  Then just rinse off with warm water.

Results: Super soft skin!  I always feel like a weekly treatment helps to reset my skin’s tone and texture from the weekly grind.  The peel even at full strength was not irritating and there was no redness, probably due to the aloe, vitamins and oils.  It removes that slightly gritty feeling the skin gets due to dead skin cells that are still seating on the epidermis.  I can definitely say that me skin felt more supple and bright once I rinsed it off J
