I am sure that stay-at-home/work-from-home moms are tired of hearing people make comments about what they do all day.  I was probably one of those people when I worked my traditional full time office job.  Now that I have the ability to work-from-home, I realize just how much WORK there really is to do, and it really takes excellent time management skills and organization to get it all done!

Unfortunately, another thing I have noticed is that I have become somewhat of a couch potato.  A lot of my blogging tasks happens on the computer so I find myself sitting for long periods of time.  Granted at my previous job, I did spend a lot of time sitting at my desk, but there was also a great deal of walking around from office to office, copy machine, meetings, etc…
I have never been much into exercise or working out.  I didn’t go the gym (although I know I should have).  I usually ordered lunch at work rather than bringing my own meals.  Sometimes I would skip dinner or just pick something up on the way home.  There was really no rhyme or reason to my nutrition, but I never really stopped to give it much thought…That is until now!
Working from home, I now have my kitchen at my disposal, which isn’t necessarily a good thing.  I tend to grab whatever is quickest and easiest and sometimes…scratch that…USUALLY the most unhealthy choice.  I have finally decided that enough is enough!  I am going to focus on creating fitness goals, surrounded by healthful nutrition decisions to get me back on track!
While on my weekly shopping trip to Walmart I decided to pick up some healthy snacks to keep at my desk, as well as, a journal to record and track my fitness goals and progress.  While on my hunt for a healthy snack alternative I learned that what I believe is more nutritious really isn’t.
Amidst all the candy and potato chips at the checkout, I was able to find goodnessknows® snack squares.  With no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners, no high fructose corn syrup and only 150 calories, these snack squares are just what I need to curb my cravings and keep me on track to meet my goals from goodness to greatness!

Before leaving my house for my shopping trip, I had managed to clip a few coupons!  Click here for a goodnessknows® coupon to save $0.50 on any two goodnessknows® snack squares packs.  I picked up cranberry, almond & dark chocolate, as well as, apple, almond & peanut, and dark chocolate.  I am going to pick up the third variety, peach & cherry, almond, and dark chocolate, on my next trip!  They all sound so yummy!!!

Once I was home it was time to set some goals and organize my work space a little.  I feel like as long as I write my goals down, I can really make them happen…almost like a blog post LOL!  I also set up my snack area right next to my laptop so that I don’t get up and face making an unhealthy decision come snack time.
I broke down my fitness goals down into three categories: daily, weekly, and monthly.  I think that everything I recorded is not only doable, but enjoyable!  If I don’t enjoy something, it’s not going to happen so by incorporating activities, such as yoga, taking the dogs to the park, and going for a walk on the beach, I know that I have developed goals that are both healthful and attainable.
