I received free admission and compensation in exchange for my unbiased review.  All opinions are 100% my own.

I grew up going to the circus, the traditional one, with lions, tigers, and bears..OH MY!  It wasn’t something we even considered an issue.  I blame it on sheer ignorance.  I’m sure my mom didn’t really think about the well being of the animals being used in the circus acts.  After all, they looked like they were being taken care of well enough.  The realization of animal cruelty in the entertainment industry really came into perspective for me as a teenager.  Since then, I have really  transitioned to a lifestyle that does not support exploitation of animals.
Enter Cirque Italia! 🎪 When I was given the opportunity to attend an animal free circus in my very own part of town I just couldn’t pass it up.  As a family, we made a night of it, and headed to this magical spectacular.  Keep reading to hear all about the antics and impressive acrobatics we had the pleasure of experiencing at Cirque Italia in North Miami!!! 💜

Cirque Italia Clown
As we made our way to our seats, childhood memories started to make their way to the surface.  It wasn’t three rings, but this was better!  In the center of the space, one huge ring brought all eyes and all lights in to focus.  I want to say we spent a good part of the evening, not even wanting to blink!
Prior to the show getting underway, we were comically captivated by the likes of Alex the clown 🤡 Even my teenager was LOL’ing with his antics and his kooky sidekick! I would say they were just as entertaining as the acrobatic acts! These two made the transitions between acts totally fun and interactive!

We were equally impressed with the different acts of physical balance, endurance, and flexibility that we saw that night!  I must say I heard gasps come from my kids, ages 13 & 17, more than once!  The Wheel of Death had the entire audience on the edge of their seats…How did this guy not fall down?!?!  I think I heard a few prayers being uttered from the crowd!

Cirque Italia Danger Wheel
The grand finale was a great act by an Italian team of stunt roller skaters.  Their speed and accuracy were amazing and their talent on the skates was definitely nothing to scoff at!  It also takes a lot of strength to make some of the feats we saw on that stage happen!  These performers are no joke!

The show itself was about two hours long with a 20 minute intermission.  Time flew by the whole night and I can definitely say we were never bored!  The big test is whether my 17 year old pulled out her phone to check Instagram…Guess what???  Not even once…well except for during the intermission! 📱
