Now with the Fall season upon us, everything is coming up pumpkin spice!
This is NOT a post about beauty products containing pumpkin (although you may want to keep an out eye for a future post;). I just couldn’t help but think about all the Fall colors swirling around the different orange shades of pumpkin to cinnamon, and nutmeg…warm and rich shades of browns, golds, and even a hint of coral!
So rather than hitting the stores, I opted to shop my stash and put together a look that I felt would work well for everyday and could easily be jazzed up to transition to something a bit fancier!
FACE
The first thing I did was take my Kaleidaskin Color Solve Primer in Red (meant to reduce redness) and applied that over my whole face. I followed that up with my Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in 3.5. This shade is a little light for me so I took my Tarte Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess and used it with a big fluffy brush to darken it up a bit.
EYES
I gravitated to two palettes for this look, both from one of my favorite brands of all time…Too Faced <3. Natural at Night and the Chocolate Bar are full of colors that scream pumpkin spice!
Chocolate Bar Shades:
Salted Caramel (all over the lid)
Marzipan (center of the lower lid)
Creme Brulee (brow bone and inner corner)
Natural at Night Shades:
Night Cap (along the lower lash line)
Cocoa Star (in the crease)
Eclipse (crease amplifier)
I took my Fior Minerals Organic Eyeliner in Brown Sugar (which I received in one of my Petit Vour boxes) and applied it on the upper lash line a little thicker on the outer ends. I really wanted to keep the eyeliner low key since I am going for a simple day look.
From there I just finished up my eyes with my Lily Lolo Black Vegan Mascara (also from a Petit Vour box).
CHEEKS
I thought a coral hued blush would pair nicely with a pumpkin spice inspired look so I grabbed one of my favorite palettes. I am so happy I picked up the Aqualillies for Tarte palette when it came out, because it was limited edition and it has gorgeous colors. It actually became one of the first product reviews I did going back to 2013! The blush shade, Captivating, has been one of my all time favorite blushes.
I also grabbed my Colourpop highlighter in the shade Wisp and used that to highlight my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, and my cupid’s bow.
LIPS
I kept the lips super simple and reached for my new Elate Clean Cosmetics Creme Lipstick in the shade Lively. Once again a Petit Vour item. If you haven’t checked out Petit Vour, you really should…it is a great cruelty free & vegan beauty subscription service. I find great products and brands every month!
What do you think?
What are your cruelty free go-to products for this Fall season? Let me know in the comments so I can check them out as well!
