The mission of The Bloggers Block is to promote the latest in Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle. Their quarterly event is used to create awareness of local people and businesses and target audience of professional men and women in the media, PR and marketing industry by showcasing and promote local and international brands with live blogging and social media.
Think of The Bloggers Block and WallsPop as a regular scheduled media and content party introducing popular bloggers to other bloggers and your brand as well. What better way to place your brand to be considered for editorial coverage in popular and industry niche blogs and media outlets.
My first experience with The Bloggers Block was at their first quarterly event last November at the O Lounge in Fort Lauderdale. This was actually my first ever blogger event so not only was I completely unsure of what I was getting myself into, I didn’t know anyone in the Miami blogging scene! That first night I was so impressed by everyone there and how welcoming all the bloggers were. You can imagine, I was completely taken aback when I was approached by them to be a part of their next event!
Check out my experience at the Bloggers Block Fashion*Lifestyle Content Event at the Segafredo in Brickell. I had the opportunity of being a featured blogger for the night, along with Aileen Van Pelt from Newsy Parents and Jessica Teixeira from A Beauty Delicacy.
Myself with Dayana Brown & Shayra from TBB, enjoying the event. I went for a bit of old school glam that night with the black & white peplum dress and some black peep toe heels.
This is me with my daughter and co-author of 2Gen Beauty, Sophia.
Ana Lago, our check-in girl for the night had heads turning!
We had some great brands and products in the mix that night!!!
Mamahuhu, Shoes & Bags Made in Colombia, had some items for the bloggers & media to check out. This was perfect for the ladies looking to make some last minute purchases for Valentine’s Day the next day!
The ladies from Miami Model Citizens were signing calendars for their fans. I almost picked one up for the hubby, but then I realized there is only room for one calendar girl in his world! These ladies are amazing philanthropists…You must check out their site and check out all the causes they are involved with.
Lauren Norona, a 17-year-old up & coming South Florida singer, is competing on a television show on MyTV33 called Musical Genius TV. She sang two original songs for us that night and I was totally impressed. Show this girl some love at www.facebook.com/laurennorona305.
Being a blogger can be hard work! Jesika Altuve, pastry chef extraordinaire & owner of Choco-Chica Cupcakes provided us with delicious Pink Velvet cupcakes to keep us going. I saw quite a few attendees sneak by the table more than once;)
One of my favorite parts of the night was having an artist actually creating art <3. Anouck Jourdaa is a French artist living in South Beach and creating art that depicts the “joy of being a woman.” I love the bright colors and the curves that Anouck uses in her paintings. Her art looks & feels sensual and fun all at the same time.
Michelle Nakah, creator of Susy Who, was a pleasure to meet and work with. I had the opportunity of interviewing her on camera, so be on the lookout for that video coming soon! Her designs range from fun & flirty to professional and are made for ALL women sizes 2-16.
I think the pictures of these shoes speak for themselves! I am in love with the shattered glass “Cinderella” shoes. I like to refer to them as Cinderella Gone Bad;) Tiffany Chimere brought some amazing designs to show off at the event and most of the ladies could not keep their eyes off the shoe table.
With Love,
